Remeron, Benzos and gluten. Sounds weird but hear me out
I’ve been on almost every anti depressant since the age of 7 and I’ve never really had any success with any of them So my psychiatrist put me on remeron (7.5mg) to help me sleep and to hopefully help me get off my klonopin which I have been on for just about 5 years and I’m starting to have memory problems (at 19) but she also told me to cut out all processed foods/sugars, dairy and gluten. Due to covid I’m not working atm and can barely afford to get my meds every month so I’m living off of processed foods but she’s insisting that I do it and is almost rude about it. Does anybody here have any tips on how to cut out processed foods and gluten on a budget? ($195 a month) I also have to get a bunch of lab work done to look at my thyroid, vitamin and mineral levels, and a bunch of other stuff I don’t understand.
Is this normal for a psychiatrist to do? I’ve never had a psychiatrist do anything other than prescribe meds.
