Baby position?

two weeks ago at my 32 week apt i asked my doctor what position she thought baby was in and she said she thinks head down. However I’m now about 34 weeks and I feel a huge lump right in the middle of my stomach between my ribs and it hurts so bad especially to touch 😳 I was trying to feel around to feel his position and all I can feel is that huge lump bulging out right between my ribs, could this be his head?! I typically feel hiccups soooo low and I often feel moments up high so not sure.

I have a huge lump between my ribs also... That is a bum....
Try to feel kicks. Where are they strongest. Strongest kicks come from legs and if they are up, then baby is head down.
And doctors are usually really good at touching and feeling position. They do it daily in their line of work.

When you gently push the lump does baby move? If so that’s most likely the tushy. Either way at 32 weeks baby can still flip around a bit so it is the head there’s still time!

If when you push on the lump the whole body moves it’s probably a bottom, but if only the “lump” moves around it’s a head. Lay flat on your back and feel around. I’m not an expert, as I have a hard time knowing what position my baby is in at times, but once my midwives feel and tell me what position baby is in and have me feel it helped me better visualize. It’s hard feeling what position baby is in on yourself.

I would have them check with an ultrasound at 35 weeks. My doctors and I were completely convinced my baby was head down from 30 weeks and on... had a scan at 35 and she was definitely breech. I felt hiccups low, heartbeat was heard very low, and felt kicks up high... she was frank breech. I had a bulge in the middle of my tummy and sure enough it was her head.

Have them double check with the US next time you go in, I had them tell me from 32 weeks on that it was his butt and at my 38 week appointment a different doctor said the same thing and I pressed a bit asking how they were all so sure so he grabbed the US and sure enough it was not his butt. Probably head down if you’re feeling hiccups low though! 🤞🏼
