Prolactin Hormone Experience?

Question

Has anyone done a blood test and received results with higher than normal prolactin levels, but still had normal periods? Ive been TTC for five months and my results just came back and said 'borderline high', but I still have normal periods. I guess this means I may not be ovulating normally though. I'll be getting a retest on my next cycle to confirm, but now I'm really curious!

Does anyone have experience with this? Were you able to get pregnant normally? What'd you have to do?

I had high prolactin levels and was being referred for further tests when I found out I was 15 weeks pregnant!

You should be doing an MRI to make sure there is no tumor, don't worry even if there is it is easily treatable... If nothing appears, you can ask about the macro prolactin, it's a blood test but more advanced, then they will know if the prolactin really affects your ovulation or not... You might also check if you have polycystic ovaries

My doctor has me getting mine tested but it's not until the end of July. We shall see....

Elevated prolactin levels will make it difficult to get pregnant. I have to retest and if the levels are still elevated I have to get a MRI. This may be from a medication I was taking (in rare cases elevated prolactin levels are a possible side effect). I hope it's not a tumor but if it is is treatable.

Hi, my Prolactin is high (45.5).... I have normal periods and I ovulate every month but My Obgyn thinks my infertility is caused by high level of Prolactin. She wants me to get an MRI... I'm about to do that this week. I hoping is not tumor or cancer
