Disturbing/inappropriate content on social media

If your child has a Tik tok please don’t let them on it today. A video is on it of a live stream of a man committing suicide. It’s Brutal and heartbreaking to watch. I logged on and that’s the first video I saw. It’s gone viral and I can only imagine the fear in a child’s eye seeing that. ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

This was shared on various Facebook groups today. (If you haven’t seen it consider this your warning!)

My question is however should there be stricter regulations in social media content and how long it can remain up? It didn’t take long for this video to become viral and spread to other platforms. Should social media platforms have a rule of some sort after so many reports on a post it should be removed until reviewed by the media team? What should be done about others who continue to share and spread the content contributing to it going viral? Would this begin to effect the “freedom of speech” rights? Where should the line be drawn?
