How do people stay strong when people are constantly being sexist to them.

I changed my job from working in a female dominated retail store to working in a male dominated betting store. (just under a year now) whether its customers continously hitting on me, me turning them down and then they get verbally abusive towards me. AND I TELL MY DAD and he says I should "take it as a compliment". Excuse me, no.

Then I worked with a d&ckhead yesterday who constantly asked me for my social media, and if I was seeing anyone. To me saying I had none. And that I was single and wasn't looking to mingle. And he took that as "I didn't know you were no fun".

No I'm just not giving out my social media to someone Ive just met and I'm not talking about my non existent dating life but you're being so persistent that I have to clam up.

IT SENDS ME WARNING SIGNALS.

Last time I gave my social media to someone I just met I got stalked for 3 months. Turned up at my old job and everything, had to file a police report with my previous manager because of him. But of course he doesn't know that, but he should just take no as an answer.

THEN to top it all off a customer bets on a horse named one night stand and turns to me and says "I bet you'd love a one night stand, especially with me" and winked.

I said no I would not, do not speak to me that way.

And the customer said sorry sorry sorry.

And the d&ckhead I was working with said "ah its grand she's sound she won't care".

Excuse me I think I just stated that I didn't like it.

I Told my dad...he said "he meant it as a joke, lighten up".

And obviously I get the mansplaining on how certain bets are made and asked for a male to serve customers cause obviously I as a female won't understand.

Excuse me I probably know more than the twat with 0.5 braincells beside me.

Ughhhhh I don't know if what I wrote even makes sense. I just had a horrible day in work and felt so dejected.

I'm 20 years old. I'm studying to be a teacher. I need to be strong so I can instill confidence and strength in my students. Days like this are so hard. How do yous uplift yourselves, stay strong and remind yourself that you're worth more than they make out?

Ps. I know this happens to boys too. Im not saying sexism is just male to female. Im just a female so sexism towards woman is the only one I experience.
