So how bad does giving birth hurt with an epidural?

I felt pain until the epidural, and then slept for a couple hours and woke up feeling like I had to poop. Felt like I was pushing something out of me but didn't burn or hurt! I don't remember having any feeling honestly.. it was such a surreal experience... this time around I will be unmedicated... we'll see how this goes 😵

If the epidural works it's supposed to be more of a pressure instead of an actual pain. Kind of like getting numbed up at a dentists office...you can still feel it but the pain isn't there...

Well It isn't the birth that hurts, it's the contractions up until the birth ... I've lived through it 3 times . Once with and twice without... I'll have another baby without epidural this time around. Much better experience
