She is finally here, Due 9/11!

After my water broke Sunday morning (9/6). I called my doctor and was told to head to hospital. Cervix was checked and I had no dilation and it was closed. Was put on Pitocin 1 hour later. Had terrible contractions 4 minutes apart. Many hours later I was still only dilated 1 cm. A ballon was inserted to promote dilation. After 8 hours I was only 4 cm and this was very early Tuesday morning. Opted for epidural at this point since I just could not take the pain of the contractions any longer. After 5 hours or so I was checked again, no dilation, still at 4cm. Doctor’s advise that I opt for C section due to the circumstances and also baby’s heart rate was decreasing when I had contractions. I had C section at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, 9/8. She is 6 lbs & 13 oz. It was a rough 3 days but so worth every second!
