Induction

Has any one asked there obgyn to be induced by 38 weeks if baby is healthy so he/she could come earlier then due date? I’m curious to know only because I’m not a tall momma and I’ve struggled with extreme back pain before pregnancy and now it’s been 100x worse and I just am wondering if I’d be considered a “bad mom” if I asked to be induced by 38 weeks if the baby was growing healthy and was able to come by then? Has any one else tried getting induced before due date because of the amount of pain they were in ( and yes I do recognize that waiting until you go into natural labor is the best thing to do I’m just curious please no hate )
