Old scar inflamed all of a sudden?

When I was around 12 I fell and got a scar on my knee. This morning I woke up and it’s super raised and red. Has this happened to anyone else? Guessing its just a weird pregnancy hormone thing?

This happened to me w a mole I had removed on my stomach a few years ago. It’s a little uncomfortable to the touch. My OB said to massage it with oil to help break up scar tissue.

Thinking it is increased blood volume. Perhaps there is a vein there that slows blood flow a bit (like a varicose) and the increased blood volume is causing it to raise. (Look at me sounding all medical professional. Lol)
