Is Gender on Patient Portal for NIPT?

Any help please. My OB office called today to say all was normal on my NIPT and asked if I wanted to know the gender and I said no. Then I asked if they could make sure the gender is blacked out so the doctor doesn’t slip next time I’m in the office.

The nurse said they are very good about it not being visible and this is the reason why they don’t have the full report for the NIPT in the patient portal.l for those that don’t want to know gender.

After I hung up I went into my patient portal and saw the test was in there. I figured I would look at it to just be so happy to see normal results knowing the gender of wasn’t in there or much of anything according to the nurse.

Well there was no results at all and the only thing it said was the date the test was collected, received, and results delivered. It had all my info at the top and then at the very bottom it said result: nl female

Does that mean it’s a girl or does the female mean I’m a girl/female. I’m so upset right now thinking my surprise got ruined. I would never have opened the results in the patient portal if the nurse never said they don’t upload the info.
