Please help - can someone tell me how Snapchat works??

I saw on my boyfriend’s search bar in Snapchat there was a girl’s name/profile, which I am guessing means he searched her profile. However they don’t have a conversation/chat inbox on his main page. Does this mean he didn’t talk to her?? Do the chats automatically disappear?

everyone has a chat log on snapchat. if you swipe to the right of the camera on snapchat, you’ll see his log. it should show her name but it’ll say “say hi” near her name if they haven’t talked. if they have had a convo or sent pictures it’ll say “open”, “delivered”, or “received”. if you think it’s possible they had a convo and he deleted it, take a pic on the snapchat camera and hit the blue arrow like you’re gonna send it to someone and she would be in his recents but not in the chat log.

Doesn’t mean he searched her, they’ve had a conversation before or they just added each other. Chats delete unless you save them.

Chats automatically disappear if he doesn’t save the messages. That doesn’t mean they didn’t chat, but it also doesn’t mean they did. Lots of people use Snapchat for purely innocent reasons, but it can also be used for women who sell their videos and pics. 
I have Snapchat because I like to send little cute videos and pics to my friends and we occasionally chat through it as well. 
Unless you have a real reason to suspect he’s cheating, I wouldn’t be concerned and I advise against snooping through his phone. If you have something you’re worried about, talk to him about it so you can clear the air.
