How do you entertain your 9 month old?

I’m constantly with him playing and picking him up when he falls over (he’s been walking since 8 months) playing peekaboo and talking/saying words to him but I never feel like it’s enough 😅 
What do you guys DO all day with your kids? Obvs I have to get bits done as well but do you feel bad when they don’t have every second of your attention and like you’re not doing as much as you could?! 😂

We have toys in the living room and some in his room so we rotate between the two areas to mix it up. We read books and go on walks with our dog. He loves listening to music and dancing. We play a lot with things that stack or fit together. Mainly though right now he just wants to crawl around and stand up to look at things or cruise along the furniture. He's really close to walking so he loves his push walker. He recently got really into throwing and then chasing a ball. I follow him around and talk to him but he does a lot of entertaining himself right now, which is a huge improvement over when he was younger! He wanted to be held and interacted with 24/7. However I have to be right there or he cries the second I walk away.

We rotate through places. We play in the living room with the blocks, activity cube, doll house. Go to big sisters room to play with the toy kitchen. Go to her room for the tent/tunnel/ball pit. Play outside on her push car or swing. Play in the kitchen with bowls and spoons.

Get a robot vacuum and they will be entertained for hours 😂 my son will “push” it around and follow it the entire time it’s running and he will go turn it on by himself - plus it’s cleaning so it’s a win/win to me. But seriously I just let him help me with whatever I’m doing. He likes to help me push the mop too, maybe one day he will just clean for me 🧐

As others have said, we try to switch up our environment. We spend time in the living room, kitchen, her room, and outside. She has toys in each space. My daughter LOVES books, so we always devote time to reading. We also always take time to listen to music and sing. I’m trying to raise her to be independent, so she does well with playing on her own for short bursts of time (without my constant interaction).

Tubi (totally free, has some commercials) has some great educational and nursery rhyme songs accompanied by cute videos. Better than paw patrol (sorry not sorry). I also go to the park if it’s not too hot or raining or we do grocery runs together. Most of the time, I’m like you. Playing with him. When he is older, I plan on doing crafts and more complex sensory activities with him.

He has an older sister. I use that to my advantage. But if I’m cooking they’re helping. If I’m cleaning they’re “helping”. His sister puts toys in a bin as he takes them out. We have our routine in quick cleaning and play and stories and snuggles are all built in.
