So my mom won’t let me see my bf I’m 17 nearly 18. It’s not because of COVID it’s just that she has been so nasty and said if u want to see him u can find ur own f*ucking way to his house. I don’t even know what brought this on. Should I just ignore her or say something. Me and her don’t have a great relationship she has nearly pushed me over the edge a few times and now I’m just like u can’t say anything I’m old enough to make my own decisions.

I’m sorry you have to go through this. Why don’t you sit down and have a conversation with her about the way she is acting. You will probably be very nervous but she can’t be angry that you want to talk to her. Explain the way she is making you feel. You are right, you are old enough to make your choices you are almost a young adult. I am also sorry that she has made you feel upset about the whole situation. If you find it too hard to conversate face to face then maybe try and write her a letter or send her a text. Talking is the best therapy, let everything get off your chest. I am sorry, it is such a crappy feeling walking around egg shells in your home with your mom, I’ve been there. and when I didn’t drive I always felt like a burden asking her to drive me here, there, etc.
Is there anyway your boyfriends family could pick you up, one of your friends could drive you there? another family member?
