Baby shower

First time mum I have set up a baby shower more to celebrate this new chapter, I was always brought up inviting all friends and family including both my parents and grandparents friends that have been close to me in my life, apparently this time me inviting my dads friends is weird because baby showers should ONLY be my friends and ONLY women, this kinda made me breakdown because I feel I shouldn’t have invited family either, but the mental struggles due to my father are another thing, anyways what is everyone’s thoughts on who should be invited to baby showers??? 💖🧸
