Hitting? Biting? When will this phase end?

I always correct my son whenever he does hit or bite. Hitting is normally when hes angry or frustrated and he will hit me and biting isnt as often and it isnt hard but that can just be out of the blue. I'm wondering if that's because his molars are currently coming through. Anyway is anyone else going through this stage? Or is through to the other side. When will he realise this is not something we should be doing!? It seems like it's never ending!!
