Negative test

I’m supposed to be 8 weeks today and have gotten several strong positive test with the test line being a lot darker than the control line. I have had three miscarriages in the past so am a little nervous. I took a frer last week and the test line was faint. I read about the hook effect and how my levels could just be too high. I took a digital fr today because I had one left and it was negative. I have had no cramps or bleeding and am still nauseous and exhausted. Is it possible to have a negative test past a certain point?? I’m starting to freak out a little. My first appointment isn’t until Tuesday.
