3 day period

My period normally lasts 5/6 days but this month I had brown spotting/discharge for 2/3 before the actual period started then it started and I was bleeding and getting brown discharge at the same time barely any cramping and only clotting on the first day then it slowly tapered off so today would technically be day 4 but I have been out all day without a tampon or pad and my underwear is clean. Is this normal or should I be concerned? Should I take another test?
