Anatomy scan ??

My next ultrasound is for the anatomy scan, anyone had that done ? That test makes me nervous only because with my son they tried to say he had downsyndrome which is nothing wrong with that at all i just had to go see a special doctor and he was pefectly fine.

Yes anatomy scan is common for every pregnant woman

Here we have all the 3 major US. 12w for trisomies, 20 something weeks for anatomical and later at 30 something weeks. We don't have the NIPT that's why the 12w is mandatory.

Yes, at least in the US, it is common practice to have one done. They usually first check for Down syndrome during the 12 week ultrasound

Anatomy scan at 20 weeks is standard.  Down syndrome scan at 12 weeks is optional.
