Just my luck

My husband and I have a 1 year old and we aren’t ready to have another one just yet. 2 weeks ago we got evacuated from a fire near our house and I lost my birth control. Well I got a new prescription 2 days ago and was trying to be safe and bought condoms as well. Well the condom broke and I have only taken 2 days worth of my bc. Going to get a plan b, but I read that if you’re already ovulating plan b will not work. Any one know if that is true?
