Cold sores...help!

Has anyone experienced cold sores while pregnant? I read online that they can occur when pregnant. I woke up with one the other day on side of lip. I've tried icing it, treatment and putting hydrogen perioxide. Still doesn't look like it's getting better. I want it gone!! It's horrible looking. Suggestions? Not sure why this occurs and what else to do. Please help!!
