Pain and blood after sex

I have been sexually active with the same partner for over a year now and many times after sex I experience a really bad burning sensation and blood. Does anyone know what this is about? I am on the Nuvaring so we don't use condoms unless I don't have it in but it seems to happen either way. 😔
