Minivan or SUV?

Question

My husband and I have a toddler son, and we have twins on the way. I know that my Honda Civic won’t fit three car seats, so obviously, I need to upgrade. Would you recommend a minivan or a crossover SUV? Any make/model recommendations would be excellent! Also, should we spring for the video monitors?

I got a Dodge Grand Caravan recently and I love it.   We only have one child but this will be good for family day trips AND I really like the sliding doors.  I plan on keeping this car for 7-10 years, so she won't be slamming her door into someone else's car.

Definitely a minivan. I only have 1 toddler and already wish we had a minivan. We currently have a Toyota Highlander, and although I love it for many reasons, we’re looking into a Toyota Sienna for when baby #2 arrives. The sliding doors are so much easier and the inside is easier to get in and out with kids. With your twins I would say a minivan is a must. My sister has 4 kids and loves her Toyota Sienna. Toyota or Honda are the best for family friendly reliable minivans.

This is what I’ll be getting, I want the telluride but they’re going 10 over MRSP. 
Grabbing the version with captain chairs that way my 9 year old and not hit the ceilings 😂

I got a Dodge Grand Caravan (2016), and it’s amazing! Being able to open/close the doors and trunk with a click of a button is worth it for me alone. Especially with a toddler. Getting the toddler in and out of the seat is also a lot easier for me (also have a Jeep), because they can basically get in themselves.
