Preeclampsia scare

I’m 38+5 and a couple of days ago, I noticed my hands and feet had become more swollen. Wasn’t really concerned, I’ve been swelling up since first trimester and just figured it was to do with being heavily pregnant!

The other night I got this horrendous headache, painkillers weren’t shifting it either, told myself if it was still there in the morning I would phone my midwife.

So I woke up with it still aching, I didn’t get much sleep, my eyes were sensitive to light. I felt daft for phoning about a headache but the midwife was totally understanding and so I went in to see her.

Well my blood pressure was high and I had protein in my urine 🤦🏻‍♀️ I got sent straight to the hospital for further examination.

I was rechecked with everything and it came back clear! Blood pressure totally normal and checked multiple times, my urine was checked twice and both times clear. My headache had also cleared. After my blood results came back normal and they monitored the baby’s heart rate and movement for a bit, I was sent home.

My little madam is just keeping me on my toes!
