So I bought my SUV a year ago, and when I bought it I was assured it was possible to have three car seats side by side. Well I am now 17 weeks pregnant and I was looking at the car seat configurations, there’s no lower anchor latch system in the middle seat, only an upper anchor for forward facing seats! My oldest has actually grown a lot this year and reached the limits where she no longer needs a booster seat, which is helpful in terms of width but I need her on the end so she can get in and out easily for school so I need a car seat in the middle.

This leaves me with only one option: to forward face my second and have her in the middle, but she’ll be exactly 2.5 years at that point. I feel anxious switching her too early but it’s either that or getting a new SUV.

My husband thinks I’m crazy for even considering it so maybe I’m overreacting, wouldn’t be the first time 😂 but I just want my babies to be as safe as possible.
