40 weeks and feeling discouraged..

I’m currently 40 weeks and just had my prenatal appointment this afternoon. I’ve been 50% effaced with a very closed (but soft) cervix for the last three weeks and feeling very discouraged with the little progress.. I feel like I’ve tried literally every natural holistic inducing method in the book but to no avail.

I know my little one will make his debut when he’s ready and I very much want him to be comfortable and healthy, but holy moly has it been taking an emotional toll on me the past few days. I just feel like there’s no end in sight and the constant “when is baby coming?” texts from family and friends isn’t helping.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Was your cervix closed at an appointment only to go into labor hours or mere days later? I know cervical checks don’t necessarily provide you with a time frame of when labor can occur, but any words of hope would definitely be appreciated to boost my moral. Thank you momma’s in advance 💙
