Gestational diabetes stories
So this is my second pregnancy, but my first with gestational diabetes. With my son I had to be induced for cholestasis and it was a traumatic experience because they had to use every form of labor inducing techniques and ultimately I didn’t finally labor for 3 days and I tore as well as my epidural wore off quickly. I’m so nervous now reading stories of inducing for GD and babies being huge (like 11+ lbs), or not having control of their sugar levels leading to NICU, or getting shoulder dysplasia, etc. I’m so nervous already just from the inducement itself, but now even more so worried of the complications associated with GD. I would love to hear from other mamas who’ve had GD and were induced and had a successful delivery with no real complications to help ease my mind. I go in on Sunday! I’ll be almost 39 weeks.
