Diagnosed with trichomoniasis

Okay I found out on the 24th and took one big dose of the medicine they gave me that day. They said no sex for two weeks which I’ve complied with and I’ve done everything I was supposed to.

So far the discharge, burning, and discomfort went away but I’m still itching a little bit?

Is this normal? I’m just worried that it won’t completely go away and then whenever I have sex we’ll just get reinfected and I really do not want that happening.
