I started dating my now baby daddy when I was 17 and he was 29. I’m now 21 and he’s 33, was he considered a pedophile for messing with a 17 year old when he was 29?

I don't know if he's a pedophile because you were 17 but I would say that he's probably a predator. I'm 22 and wouldn't be interested in someone who's under 21. 🤷 Makes you wonder why the only person who's interested in him is someone who's not even an adult and he's nearly 30! 🤢 nothing against you, it's not your fault that he's like that

He may not have been a pedophile as you were of the age of consent and almost legally an adult however a 29 year old man being interested in someone who is still in high school is seriously disturbing.

It's weird for sure but pedophiles are exclusive to children/minors you continued on a relationship and you are now in adulthood so it could honestly just be a case of age not being a factor if he starts losing interest in you or has a history of pursuing underage girls then I'd definitely leave that relationship

I wouldn’t automatically assume anything. I would think back to how you met and how everything went down in the beginning. If you met out and about somewhere and you look older and he didn’t know your age at first, he may have fell for your personality and everything first. Your age may have been knowledge after the fact and decided it was ok since you were so close to being “legal”. 
My cousin started dating something when she was 24 and he was 17. Not quite as far of a gap but it weirded her out at first and delayed them dating for a while (which wasn’t a bad thing). They met working and got along great and cut up a lot and the chemistry was there. He was also very mature for his age. She would tell me she liked him but didn’t like that he was so young. They finally ended up dating 4 more months or so before he turned 18 and they’ve been together 4 years and married 2.
