At what point do I put my foot down?

So I’ve been with this guy for 4 months. I’ve met all his family and friends, we go out, it’s basically a relationship but he’s not ready for a title. And I was fine with that because we have only been seeing each other. Now I just want a title because I feel like I should hold myself at a certain standard. Like this shouldn’t just be on his terms and I don’t want to give everything to someone that isn’t certain about me. So I don’t want to force him into a relationship but rather just say listen if you are still unsure at this point then that’s fine but I’m going to take a step back then. Am I wrong for that???
