Help how do you check your cervix to know if your ovulating ?

Never Have I Try to checked But there's Always A First time my glow app says I'm Ovulating all the way threw the 23th of this month .... Wanted to try to check my cervix

How to check it or what it should feel like? 
I use my middle finger if you insert it all the way its high half way medium and barely at all its low. If it feels like your nose its firm if it feels like a ripe peach medium and like your lips soft. When I'm ovulating its high soft and open.
