Advice or tips, please?

So, I'm 35 weeks, 2 days and I was wondering if my doctor should be checking my cervix yet??? My last ultrasound was the anatomy scan at 21 weeks and my doctor has informed me that I won't get another one. ☹ I want to know how much the baby weighs, how he's measuring, and if he may come before the due date. Can they tell me without an ultrasound? I don't really like my doctor. He's not very talkative and he just seems cold, ya know? With this being my first baby, I'd like a little more cheerfulness and reassurance. I don't know what to do, I just want answers.
