Help!!!!

opk help/question? I just had a baby 2 months ago and now we are using Natural Family Planning to avoid pregnancy (we have used this method for years and never had issues). So I finally got these tests in the mail yesterday and started testing, expecting negatives since I’m in CD 23 (now 24) of my cycle and normally I ovulate at 14/15 days. I’ve never used strip tests so this is new to me, but obviously they are positive. Here’s the problem with my cycle this month.... I had a 12 day period (it’s normally 5 days)!!!! OB said to just let them know if it happens again next month. We had sex once and used the pull out method . So here are my questions:

Has anyone had a long period and when did you ovulate?

Do you get a surge before period/how long?

Do you think I just ovulated late because of the messed up period?

If you made it this far, thank you! I know people will say to take a pregnancy test, which I plan to do when they arrive in the mail today. I’m starting to get nervous with the surge lasting so long (3 days because I had a peak on the last of my digital opk the day before) and need reassurance. Has this happened to anyone?!?!
