Can you guys share your experiences with clomid?

I’m considering starting clomid next cycle, but I want to hear what you guys think about it and if you had positive/negative experiences! Thanks!

I did clomid when ttc my son. It did what it was supposed to but I didn’t conceive on it. And honestly the side effects sucked (bloating, hot flashes, dryness, weight gain). I’m doing Femara (letrozole) this time instead and it’s soooo much better. Research is showing that it is more effective than clomid so you may want to ask your doctor about that as an alternative.

I’ve been on Clomid for over a year now. 50mg-200mg. It did was it was suppose to do but I did not conceive on it either.

I took the pills at night. No side effects. I took it days 3-7 for cycles 1 and 2. And on cycle 3 I took it on 5-9. On my third cycle of clomid, I had HORRIBLE pains on ovulation day. I have a high pain tolerance and I was doubled over ready to go to the ER. But 9 days later I got my BFP, so it was well worth it! There’s a calculator if you google that tells you when you should ovulate based on when you took the pills. It was spot on for my first and last cycle, two days off for my second cycle so still pretty close!

Just started it this cycle- was prescribed 50mg cycle dats 5-9- I’m currently CD8 - I can tell you I thought I didn’t have any side effects at first but they are mild at least- I wake up frequently at night and sometimes have hot flashes while trying to sleep- I may be a bit more bitchy but I can’t tell 😂
