Bilingual families!

So my boyfriend and I are both Mexican, he’s more fluent in Spanish than I am and mostly his family only speaks Spanish, mine more English. So I looked up someways to teach baby English and Spanish and it recommended having one parents speak only English and one only Spanish. Had anyone tried this or have any other recommendations? Baby isn’t born yet but I just wanted some advice
