Does anyone else not feel very emotionally connected to your baby?

I'm 22 weeks and still don't feel that love for the baby that everyone seems to talk about. And we tried for this baby for 10 months, so it was very planned... Just feeling like a bad mum already :(

I'm 21 weeks, and have not had any ultrasounds... my only connection to the baby is a growing belly and enormous boobs, and recently some fluttery kicks and movement.

Some people can easily love an idea. Some people can't, but readily love the reality once it's in your arms and your relationship begins to grow. Don't worry, mama. :) You'll be great. Don't try to force something that isn't you.

It comes at different times for everyone, so don't worry. Some people don't feel anything until they see and hold their baby for the first time! It does not make you a bad momma at all, so get that idea out of your head :p I've been excited from the very beginning, and I've always had love for my boys. But it feels like just recently over the last few weeks (I'm 23 weeks 5 days) it has grown so much stronger. The love I have for them is so much stronger than before. Like it's starting to feel real if that makes sense?

I was feeling extremely disconected at first because we'd had a miscarriage and I didn't want to get my hopes up. Got over that, and then still felt disconected because I didn't know what we were having and I was mentally preparing myself for if it was a boy. I am so happy to be having this baby, but have always had my heart set on a girl. Found out it was a girl, and then I finally felt her move! That was when it kicked in for me.

dang it I voted wrong... my first pregnancy we were team green and I found it hard to feel very connected to my baby when I didn't know "who" they were, and also I had a super easy pregnancy and was very small in carrying him. Even when he was born I loved him but it wasn't like I expected. When he was a few weeks old it hit me like a ton of bricks. That can be totally normal mama. Don't worry, it will happen and when it does you'll know. Even now I'm 24 weeks and I know the gender this time and I'm still not feeling a super strong bond yet.

It's weird I was depressed for about a month but something recently happened that actually gave me a real valid reason to feel sad and I really connected with my baby like I hadn't before. I felt him kick as I cried and I cried even more thinking I'm so blessed to have something so precious inside me. He reminded me to be strong and reminded me I'm not alone. Before this I loved him but not this way, not as strongly as I do now. I feel very connected to him now.

Yes I've been depressed for the past week, however I think it's hormones and the fact I can't just hold my baby in my arms right now and hoping everything goes okay
