When to pack a hospital bag ?!?!

When did or are going to start packing for your hospital bag ? Is there such thing as too early once your almost at 30 weeks ?

Learn from me- I didn’t have mine packed at 34 weeks last time and I got sent straight from my doctors office to the hospital for 3 days because of preterm labor and I had to rely on my husband to bring me a few things which he picked out horribly (I love the man but he has no idea what panties and clothes to pack for me and a baby 😂) this time around, I’m packing it at 32 weeks and I’ll be bringing it in the car with me to each doctor appointment. You just never know 😂

I like to have an emergency bag ready from about 30 weeks on, personally. (Though I feel like it’s smart to have one from 24 weeks on since that’s the general viability marker)
This is my third baby and I’m having a home birth. BUT, I still plan on having a bag. I was transferred to the hospital with my second after my son was born and in the chaos no one grabbed my bag. I literally showed up to the hospital in absolutely nothing but a bra 😂. 
I’m praying and believing I won’t need to be transferred this time. But I feel like having a super basic bag ready early on is a really peaceful feeling for me. But my husband and I are super planners. We even do an emergency car birth box in our car every time in case my water breaks in the car or we accidentally deliver in the car!

I like being prepared. But the best thing I did was make a list of things you need to grab last minute. Like phone chargers, pillows, etc.

I would start around 30 weeks. I'm a planner plus after reading a few stories of women going to a regular check up and finding out they have to deliver ASAP I'd rather have it ready to go in case. I'm going to start with baby items first then add my stuff.

Starting at 28 weeks my last pregnancy my doc insisted I get mine packed just in case

With my first I packed it around 35 weeks and had her at 37, I might do it a little earlier this time just to be safe

I always pack it around 30 weeks and then leave a written list of the last minute things (phone charger, makeup bag, etc) on top of it so that when the moment comes I don't even have to think about whats left.

*planning on* Having a home birth BUT I have had prodormal labour with my last 2 pregnancies which started about 35 weeks and if I go pre term I will have to go to the hospital so I will be ready by 30-32 weeks.
