Today was just an odd day. I had my 36 week checkup today and the nurse put the monitor on to hear my baby’s heartbeat. However she was putting it on lightly where you could barely hear the heartbeat. So the doctor came in and told me she wanted me to go to labor and delivery because my baby “dipped” I told her that my baby was still moving and that she could come feel if she wasn’t sure. So the doctor moved the monitor and found my baby’s heartbeat very strong. It was kind of crazy to me because they were going to induce me over something small. BUT I believe the nurse was kind of nervous because my baby was crying (she’s overprotective and thought they were hurting me). My fiancé could not join us for some reason so I went alone. He’s been really weird like he doesn’t want to be here. I told him they wanted me to go to labor and delivery and he wouldn’t answer my calls. Saying he was on the phone with his cousin trying to plan a trip for us to go out. I told him I don’t want to go out if we’re due for the baby. He’s getting frustrated like “I still want to go and have fun” at this point he can do whatever. Then he comes to me after the appointment like “yeah I want to go have fun” I’m like but we’re about to have this baby and you’re still talking about going outside. Then there’s silence and he goes “well I don’t want to leave you in the house by yourself” like dude just do what you want cause to me it seems like you want to have a party life instead of being a parent. On top of all of this we have a 18 month old and he ALWAYS leaves me in the house with her to go party and drink/smoke with his friends/family. I’m really over it and tired of feeling like I’m wrong for wanting him to just go be on his own.
