Door colour

Question

I really hate this door and we are looking to either paint it or change it. Any ideas? (and yes this picture is from google because I don’t have a picture of the house and it’s too dark outside to see anything

Me personally I think a dark muted green or blue would be very prettt with the color of the house. They are still neutral but not so much that it blends in. The door is supposed to be a focal point for the eye, when a house is painted multiple colors that are slight variations of the same color it makes the house look less inviting and full. Where as subtle pops of color bring your focus in.

If you want it to blend in I’d pick a grey that matches the stone or a light grey that matches the house. There is a house across from mine that has more browns and tans in there stone and they have an orange door, it looks really nice. If you want a door to stand out I’d go with a cool color instead of the red
