Am I out of line for asking or is she being unreasonable ?
So I’ve lived upstairs from a friend for a little over a year now. When I moved in and for about 8/9 months I was the only one with a car so I used the driveway even tho technically it’s hers. She has a man staying with her but he constantly gets kicked out, he’s not on the lease, doesn’t have a key and she’s always saying how “ He don’t live here”. He was kicked out earlier this year and when he came back he had a vehicle. At that point the parking situation became very annoying bc he started to park in the driveway and almost every time I needed to get in or out I had to ask for one of them to move the car. He was recently “kicked out” again but still comes over and spends days here bc they have a son together. I needed to get out of the driveway but was blocked in bc his car wouldn’t start. Eventually they got it started and I was able to move. Then the car got stuck again, this time for 4days. This made it impossible for me to even use the driveway. I asked her if she would mind having him park on the street since she doesn’t have a car and he technically doesn’t live here, plus I’m 8.5 months pregnant and live upstairs. It’s not as easy for me to park on the streets, especially when I have things to load/unload things to and from my apartment. It took me a while to ask but after his car wouldn’t start, I asked bc I felt like as a friend she would understand. She basically said no bc she drives it sometimes too and if we weren’t friends she wouldn’t share with me at all. So I decided to stop using the driveway all together and deal with taking groceries, laundry and whatever else up from the streets. I’m super bothered by it tho and I just don’t know if I’m pregnant and emotional or if my feelings are legit. Any thoughts?
