Dirty Dog Feet 🤣

Kim

I have two labs. We live in the country and our labs spend a lot of time outside running around on the property when it’s not too hot or cold. They inevitably get really dirty and (one especially) like to dig holes in the yard searching for moles 😒 and it’s been next to impossible to keep up with the filth they bring in. I’ve started bathing them a little more frequently to try and keep the dust down in the house - I can dust and the next day, there’s a thin layer on everything already. Our vet got us a shampoo and conditioner that doesn’t dry out their skin. The more frequent baths are helping with the dust, plus one has allergies and it seems to be helping with those. but their paws still get so filthy, they’re constantly tracking in gross all over. We have beautiful tile all throughout our breezeway, kitchen, and dining room, which is where they spend most of their time inside. I can handle running the Swiffer on the tile, but the grout has gotten disgusting. I’m in the process of hand-scrubbing it and then applying a sealer, but I know that will only help temporarily and it’s so time/labor intensive I don’t want to be doing it every 3 months.

Has anyone come across a way to help with tracking in dirt all the time? I wipe their feet with a towel when they come in if it’s been raining or I can tell they’ve been digging in the dirt. Would it help to buy some of the deodorizing wipes they make for dogs and use those to clean their feet and legs when they come in? I also need an option that’s hypoallergenic or designed for sensitive skin for my guy that has the allergies
