Pet hamster and pregnancy

Asking on here as i've asked my midwife and she doesn't know the answer.

I've recently had to move my pet hamster into the living room with me where i work from home every day and i'm just wondering if it's safe to have her in the same room as me all the time whilst pregnant?

I know you have to wear a mask and gloves when cleaning the cage but i'm not sure about keeping them in the same room? I read something online that they should be in a different room, is this necessary?
