Advice please.

Please don’t judge of hate me because I’m confused here

so me and my ex are really good mates we dont any feelings for each other we haven’t dated for two years. And we sometimes talk like maybe once every month or two. A year ago i was in a really dark place and the only person who understood what I was going through was my ex. And I recently got in a relationship about a month and a bit ago. So it’s still fresh and so I told my bf that I sometimes talk to my ex and to see if he’s okay with it. He doesn’t want me talking to him at all he wants me to block him on everything and doesn’t want me having any guy friends. He got pissed off at me the other day because my guy mate asked me If I wanted to go out for a few hours to catch up him and I used to have feelings for each other but we don’t anymore and we never dated. My bf has a problem with it but I don’t see why there’s an issue since there’s no romantic feelings there. See I would let him talk or see his ex or any girl mate if he wanted to. But he overthinks everything. I’m not blaming anything on him I just want advice. Like I don’t wanna block my ex because he hasn’t done anything wrong and he is such a sweet guy. He’s always been there for me but my bf is just against me having guy mates
