Need help getting him back

Boyfriend lashed out at me earlier and we ended up having a huge argument over it, I love him more than anything but my friends are telling me to end it after this incident.. But I can't throw away all that we had! He means the world to me but he treats me as if I was "one of the lads" and it makes me feel so unwanted in a "girlfriend way" he's happy to have sex with me but doesn't want to hug me, kiss me or say I'm pretty.. How can I turn this around ? I've tried talkin to him about it all but he doesn't really pay attention.. I want the old him back, the  boy I fell in love with to begin with! Someone please help
