Cry every time he leaves

I’m sitting here bawling my eyes out because my bf left to go home. I hate feeling so dependent like that. it’s so embarrassing. I can’t stop doing it. like almost every time he leaves it happens and the tears just fall.

I think it’s because I was in an emotionally abusive relationship in the past and never really got to experience real love like I am now. it’s very emotional for me. my bf says he doesn’t mind it, but it’s extremely embarrassing and I hate coming across as so weak-like and attached. anyone else have a similar experiences that can offer advice?
