Am I Wrong?

So me and my hubby wanted to get a second car so I can work more hours. There was a guy who would sell us a used Chevy metro for 4,000. Neither me or my husband know much about cars, so I brought my dad to look at it. He was surprised I was going and said it was men's work, but my husband being the passive sausage he is, is super easy to con because he falls into sob stories. Im way assertive. When we got there, my father looked at the car. It had WAY more damage then he said. Honestly this car wasn't even worth 1200. It didn't run well at all. He of course tried to con us about how he really needs the money and he can't go any cheaper and how good of a guy it is. I was assertive but polite and told him we weren't interested. My dad then on the way home starts SCOLDING ME about how inappropriate it was for me to talk and I should have let my husband do it. We would have left witb that shit car if I let him do the talking. Nothing against my husband. He's shy, has really bad social anxiety and us a passive sausage, its just who he is. My dad then starts yelling at my husband saying he knew his daughter married a fucking pussy. That he should be ashamed of himself. Then starts calling him a women and just being super offensive. I told my dad to get out of our car and walk home. We were in his neighborhood so he would walk for like five minutes. He called me a bitch. Well now my husband is depressed because he now feels like he's failed at being a man. Maybe kicking my dad out my car wasn't right but he wasn't gonna disrespect me or my husband
