Reassurance re: incompetent cervix

I had a cervical biopsy + LEEP on my cervix several years ago for pre-cancer cells. Since then I’ve also had a D&c (1st tri miscarriage ) and my cervix had to be dilated again more recently for an HSG.

I cannot stop thinking about my risk for incompetent cervix. Doctor said they will scan at 20 weeks because of my history but I’m terrified that’s “too late.” I hear about losses closer to 16-20 weeks.

I try to look online for information that will reassure me, but there’s just too much out there.

Since the doctor won’t check for it and I’ve got a month to go before my 20 week scan ... wondering if anyone here has information or experience or words of reassurance for me ? Not sure what to do with another month of anxiety waiting for the scan!
