Asking for advice please!

I just got released from the hospital, it turns out I had and etopic pregnancy and had to have surgery to stop the internal bleeding (which was really bad) and remove the embryo from my left fallopian tube, I had no clue that I was expecting or that it would have to happen like this so quick, I guess I am still processing all of it but I'm wondering if anyone who has went through something like this if there is any advice with pain and healing after the laparotomy(I have about 7 inch insion along my abdomen) this has really inconvenienced me since I work in construction and can not work for 6 weeks as well as when I first found out I was told I was pregnant and healthy and was told to make a decision (i knew something may have been off since there was no way that it was implantation bleeding like the doc said it was) and after lots of blood and pain I finally went to emerge thinking it was a miscarriage two days later and after alot of time I'm finally at home still wondering how this all happened and any advise or story's would help me lots at the moment:))
