birth control

hey! So I started birthcontrol a week ago this past sunday so on October 11th & after a week of being on the pill i started getting like period symptoms i guess you could say.. i had slight cramps monday & wednesday & monday-wednesday (so far because it’s the end of wednesday) i’ve had some discharge that’s both brown and bloody.. is this normal??? also i had sex this past friday & saturday but we also used a condom & pulled out if that information is useful. thank you :)
