Asking to be induced early?

Hi everyone! Has anyone else asked their OB about early induction due to health reasons? I have very severe asthma, and as I am in the end of my pregnancy it feels like I am having asthma attacks left and right. Not being able to sleep because I wake up having an attack, or even just having one walking across the grocery store. I want to talk with my OB on Monday about being induced around 37-38 weeks (the earliest my OB let’s anyone get induced is 37 weeks), but I don’t want them to think I’m just tired of being pregnant. My body is just straining a lot and I can barely function day to day
Edit: I have been hospitalized for asthma 4-5 times during my whole pregnancy so far 🤕

Speak openly with your doctor and keep record of your attacks. They may decide that the safest avenue is to induce early. Good luck Momma! 💕

Asthma isn’t a reason they can induce you prior to 39 weeks but talk to your dr and see what they say

Most regulations state 39 weeks for elective they may work with you due to asthma however , I have severe asthma and they have never cited that for a reason for induction unless you are going to the hospital each time . If baby is looking good on NST they will most likely keep babe in until 39 weeks or right around there

I signed up to do an elective induction at 39 weeks (not for health reasons but personal reasons)
I’ve heard that most doctors will not do elective inductions before 39 weeks unless there’s some serious health issues going on 
But who knows. Talk to your doctor and see

With my first I had an elective induction at 39 weeks my doctor wouldn’t do it before.

Talk to your dr about it. Worst they can say is no 🤷🏻‍♀️ my dr was gonna let me with no issues
