Is it okay to sit by the fireplace?

Is it okay to sit by the fireplace? We have one at home and I like to sit by it in winter time when I’m cold and we watch a movie. Since they tell you not to go on saunas / hot tubs... is the fireplace safe?

Yes, the issue with saunas and hot tubs is that your body can't cool itself down. If you are cold, sitting by the fireplace is fine. If you start to feel too hot, move away.

Saunas? Well, as a Finn, I can tell you that most people go to sauna multiple times a week, pregnant or not. Nothing dangerous about that 😄🇫🇮

Yep go get your cozy on. Sitting by a fire is no different then by a heater or in a warm room. If you start getting too warm just move.

They tell you to not go to sauna or a hot tub for a reason. That is you do kot want to raize your body temperature above normal, basically you dont want a fever for a while, because it is not good for baby.
So sitting by fireplace for some is quite ok. It is up to you to decide how hot you get there...
